The Equestrian Hippodrome in Cholpon-Ata is located 270 kilometers from Bishkek and occupies an area of twenty-five hectares. It is the only arena in Central Asia that is located on the shore of a lake. The Hippodrome can seat 10 thousand people.
The Hippodrome is equipped with a transformer substation, an external electric network, wells for drinking and waste management, 181 surveillance cameras, and security and fire alarms. The arena is fully equipped for telephone and internet service.
The project is unique in that it is the first to be constructed in such a short time period in Kyrgyzstan, that it holds not only national but international importance, and was constructed in accordance with all applicable norms and standards.
