
V World Nomad Games will be held in Kazakhstan - 2024
The Fifth (V) World Nomad Games will be held in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan said on Monday.
"The Fifth World Nomad Games will be held in Kazakhstan. The Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev took over the baton of the World Nomad Games. The baton was passed by the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Kasapoglu," the report says.
The first games were held in Kyrgyzstan at the initiative of the former President of the country Almazbek Atambayev in 2014. They were attended by about 800 athletes from 19 countries who competed in 11 ethnic sports.
In the second games in 2016, over a 1200 athletes from 62 countries competed in 23 ethnic sports disciplines. The Third World Nomad Games were held in early September 2019 on the coast of the high mountain lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan. The right to host the next fourth games was transferred to Turkey. They passed in Turkish Iznik.
