The press conference for representatives of more than 1,200 foreign and domestic media was held at the Physical culture and recreation center in the village of Baktuu-Dolonotu of the Issyk-Kul region.
The First Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov welcomed the guests and noted that the World Nomad Games became a big event remaining in the newest history of Kyrgyzstan.
“This major international project will help to develop national sports, stimulate and create conditions for their inclusion in the Olympic Games program,” the official said, adding that the slogan of the World Nomad Game “United by power. United in spirit” would also remain in history, while the Nomad Games would remain as a competition initiated and first conducted in Kyrgyzstan.

Ainura Temirbekova, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism, informed that media representatives from around 60 countries of the world came to cover the III World Nomad Games. “The Nomad Games are a unique project with a wide sports and cultural program. Today, on the opening day of the Games, it's nice to see the arrived media representatives from around the world. All necessary conditions for effective work and communication of foreign journalists have been created at all locations of the Nomad Games,” Temirbekova said.
Kanat Amankulov, the Head of the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, told that the program includes 37 different sports competitions: horse racing, horse riding, national types of wrestling, martial arts, traditional intellectual games, archery, national hunting "Salbourun".
