Conditions for participation
The World Nomad Games will be held on 3-8 September 2016 in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic.
Location: Cholpon-Ata city, Issyk-Kul region, Kyrgyz Republic.
Arrival day: 1-2 September 2016.
Registration of delegations: 2 September 2016.
Opening ceremony of the Second WNG: 3 September 2016.
Closing ceremony of the Second WNG: 8 September 2016.
Day of Departure of delegations: 9 September 2016, by 14.00.
I. Purposes and Objectives.
1. Assistance in developing the ethnosport movement throughout the world.
2. Popularizing and developing ethnosport, traditional games and competitions of the nomadic people.
3. Preserving and developing ethnic culture of the world.
4. Contributing to further scientific, organizational and methodical basis of developing ethnosports, traditional games and competitions from around the world.
5. Strengthening and further developing friendship, harmony and cooperation among the people of the world.
Countries can take part in the competitions listed in the program of the Second WNG after on-time submission of the applications.
III. Financial and other terms.
The State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic is responsible for the following:
1. Execution of sporting events during the WNG;
2. Meeting, accompanying, and transporting foreign sporting delegations (leaders, athletes, referees, trainers, doctors) along the route Bishkek – Cholpon-Ata – Bishkek and all travel during the events;
3. Providing housing and food for foreign sporting delegations (on arrival);
4. Providing feed for horses, dogs and birds (on arrival);
All expenses incurred in sending participants (leaders, athletes, referees, trainers, doctors, and animals) to the WNG shall be paid by the sending organization.
Veterinary and customs procedures connected with the transport of animals must be carried out in accordance with the laws of the host country. The host country will take all necessary measures to simplify customs procedures.
IV. Horse rentals.
If foreign teams, participating in horse racing and horse competitions are not able to bring their horses for any reason, they have to inform the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic before August 7, 2016. In this case, the team will be provided with host country's horses. The host country will take all necessary measures to select the appropriate horses for foreign teams.
Horse rentals for kok-boru, er enish and cirit competitions carried out at the expense of host country.
Horse rentals horse racing competitions carried out at the expense of participating teams and only with the rider.
Any participating country of the Second WNG may represent one national game at its own expense. The program will be created in accordance with information in the preliminary applications from the participating countries.
Each participating country should provide national dress and equipment for its sport delegation (athletes, coaches and officials). Each participating country is also required to provide its own national anthem and flag in advance.
VI. Application Procedure.
Preliminary applications for participation in the Second WNG should be submitted by 7 July 2016 and revised applications by 7 August 2016 to the Directorate for National Sports under the State Agency. The applications must contain full name of sport managers, referees, coaches and athletes with their initials and their photos (4х6, 2 pcs.) in electronic format. The participants in equestrian sports competitions must have a medical certificate (with all vaccinations) and insurance certificate with them (for kok-boru, at chabysh, jorgo salysh, Kunan chabysh, er enish).
Certificate of veterinarian permitting a horse to take part in competition should be submitted to the mandated Commission. All necessary information concerning all kinds of certificates and insurances will be provided in the official web site of the Second WNG.
Upon arrival of the teams, it is necessary to bring and submit an application to the Mandated Commission, which must contain full name of a participant, his/her sport rank, of trainer – horse-breaker, owner of a horse, age, color and breed of the horse with one photo of it attached to the application. Besides it is necessary to submit a certificate from the public authority confirming horse’s identity.
Athletes under the age of 18 must obtain all permits to participate in the competition in accordance with the laws of the home country.
Each country has the right to present its ethnic type of sports and national games, if it so wishes, in the form of the demonstration competitions which aren't part of the program of the Second WNG. The program of such games will be prepared in accordance with the applications of the participating countries.
The teams that win prizes in competitions at the Second WNG will be awarded with cups, medals, diplomas and cash prizes.
