II Symposium

This year the second symposium will be organized and you are cordially invited to join us in the Second Symposium of Traditional Sports Games of Turkic Peoples with the subtitle The Emergence and Development of Traditional Sports Games of Eurasian Nomadic Peoples, which will be held at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Bishkek, on October 27-28, 2016. The symposium is organized as part of the “World Nomadic Games 2016”.

The aim of the conference is to conduct a comprehensive, scientific study of traditional sport games and to discuss problems related to their sustainability in today’s world. 

Themes and Subjects:

- The Emergence and Development of Traditional Sports Games of Eurasian Nomadic Peoples;
- The Military Structure of Eurasian Nomadic Peoples and Emergence of Sports Games;
- The Role of Etho-Pedagogy in the Development of Ethnic Sports of Nomadic Peoples;
- The Role of Folk Medicine in the Development of Nomadic Sports and Medical Treatment from Past to Present;
- The Reflection of Traditional Sports Games in the Art of Eurasian Peoples;
- The Reflection of Traditional Sports Games in the Written Sources, Folklore and Literature of Eurasian Peoples;
- The Revival of Ethnic Sports Games in the Independent Turkic Republics in Central Asia and Caucasia.

Deadline for Abstract Submission - 22 July 2016.
Notification for Accepted Abstracts - 29 July 2016.
Deadline for Full Paper Submission - 01 October 2016.
Announcement of the Conference Program - 14 October 2016.
Conference Dates - 27-28 October 2016.
