Sporting Delegation from Yakutia will Participate in the World Nomad Games

On July 9th in Yakutsk (Russia) the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslanbek Jumanazarov met with the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Mikhail Gulyaev. The director of the Department of Sports and Cooperation with the Sporting Federation of the National Olympic Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic Sagyndyk Usubaliev was also at the meeting.

During the meeting, Gulyaev expressed his thanks to the leadership of the sporting delegation of Kyrgyzstan for their participation at the Sixth International Sporting Games “Children of Asia”. He also confirmed participation of the team of the Republic of Sakha at the World Nomad Games.

The inclusion of the traditional Yakut sport of mas-wrestling in the World Nomad Games was also discussed. “Kyrgyzstan supports the initiative of Yakutia in promoting their traditional sports. As you already know, this year mas-wrestling was including in the World Nomad Games,” noted Ruslanbek Jumanazarov.

At the end of the meeting, representatives from the Kyrgyz delegation thanked their Yakut hosts for their warm welcome, and invited them to the World Nomad Games, which will take place from September 3rd through 8th on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul.

On the same day, the Kyrgyz delegation met with the President of the International Committee of Games “Children of Asia” Dmitri Glushko.

Representatives from the Kyrgyz delegation presented their colleagues with commemorative gifts.
