The Secretariat of the World Nomad Games Reports About Filming the Games
Taking into account the special meaning and scale of the upcoming World Nomad Games, which will take place at Lake Issyk-Kul from September 3rd through 8th of this year, the organizers and law enforcement will take all necessary measures to ensure order and safety, including during the filming of the Games.
In order to avoid accidents with the guests, tourists, and athletes, it was decided to ban unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) during the Opening Ceremony (September 3rd) and Closing Ceremony (September 8th) of the Nomad Games.
Filming using drones will be prohibited during rehearsals from August 28th through September 2nd in all areas where the Games will take place.
At the same time, representatives of media organizations will be allowed to film using drones during sporting and cultural events in Kyrchyn Gorge, the Hippodrome, and in the fitness and wellness center from September 4th through 7th, but only with permission from the Secretariat of the World Nomad Games.
In the case of unauthorized flights, drones will be shot down.
A corresponding letter explaining these rules was sent to all media outlets participating in the World Nomad Games 2016.
The Secretariat of the World Nomad Games asks all representatives of accredited media outlets to follow the conditions set forth for use of drones during filming. Guests at the Games are also asked to refrain from using drones for amateur filming.
The Organizing Committee asks for understanding and support from the media and visitors at the Games.
