Kyrchyn Gorge Cleaned of Litter Left from Festival

Today, September 8th, 2016, representatives of governmental and private organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as volunteers of the World Nomad Games cleaned Kyrchyn Gorge, which was home to the “Nomad’s Universe” folklore festival, part of the World Nomad Games, from September 4-7.

Around 600 people, members of the local government and volunteers, cleaned the gorge for the first have of the day, having spread across the area of several kilometers, cleaning around the yurt camps and venues for the competitions in traditional sports were held.

Additionally, municipal services were used, which involved special cleaning equipment.

All gathered trash was taken by government services from Kyrchyn Gorge. Two dump trucks took 10 trips and about 60 tons of trash out of Kyrchyn Gorge.
